Job Advertisement: Learning & Behaviour Mentor (SEN) - Full Time

Location: Derby Start Date: September 2024

Empowering Learning are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join an inner city school in Derby. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to SEN pupils.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Support students in developing social skills and managing behaviors effectively.Working Hours:

Full time, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN, particularly autism, SEMH, and ADHD.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable but not essential.
