About the Role:

Tradewind is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Spanish Teacher to join a leading secondary school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Spanish language and culture, and possess the skills to engage and inspire students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality Spanish language instruction to students across various year groups.
Develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans in alignment with curriculum objectives.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation.
Utilise diverse teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the language department.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Spanish or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level.
Excellent command of the Spanish language, both written and spoken.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-level Spanish examinations.
Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
