Electrical Supervisor

Harrogate, £45,055on call bonus, public sector benefits, 10% pension, 37.5 hours per week.

We seek a candidate with a confident background in commercial electrical maintenance for a public sector role in Harrogate. You will lead a multi-skilled team to ensure PPM's and repairs are completed effectively to schedule and within budget.

The Electrical Supervisor role:

Overseeing a multiskilled team undertaking preventative maintenance and attending breakdowns
Planning and allocation of work on the FM system in line with the maintenance schedule
Hands off with a responsibility to help with major breakdowns, cover periods of sickness, absence, and holidays, and provide technical guidance
Ensuring the cost-effective and efficient operation of all plant, equipment, and services
Assisting in the implementation, operation, and improvement of FM software
Preparing a range on reports including response time analysis and compliance.
Managing contractors, trade, and direct operational staff including performance management, recruitment, grievance and disciplinary matters.
Managing and improving the PPM schedule
Managing apprenticeships, learning and general staff training programs
Hands-on diagnosis of engineering faults and initiating repairs
Ensuring H & S, COSHH, Manual Handling, CDM requirements are adhered to within the department, undertaking tools box talks, audits ect
Carrying out investigations into engineering failures of plant, services or equipment
Preparing feasibility and cost estimates and providing effective financial control of schemes.
Purchasing, storage and use of materials and equipment
On call cover 1 in 6 weeks

The Person:

Minimum HNC level qualified within Electrical and hold 18th Edition & AM2 qualifications
Have previous experience of working within a large commercial environment
Have confident management experience and the ability to lead, train and motivate a multi disciplined team
Be familiar with planning and allocation of work, managing deadlines and dealing with major breakdown incidents
Have a proven background in implanting successful improvements into the maintenance team
Have worked with a computerised FM system previously
Ideally have some understanding of mechanical system integration and other tradesThe company:
