We are currently recruiting an Operator Supervisor to cover the London Region for our Specialist Vehicles Division, 

The?Operator Supervisor?will be responsible for the management, development, and output of a team of?Operators.

Responsibilities include: 

•    Daily line management of Operators in terms of recruitment, coaching, motivating, training/development and leading the team 
•    Ensure compliance with all road transport legislative requirements and all internal quality, health, safety and environmental policies and standards. 
•    Assist in managing the undertakings of the region in line with the Office of the Traffic Commissioner requirements on a restricted operator’s licence (TB) And in line with the SV operator Hours policy 
•    Drive a high degree of vehicle availability, by ensuring the defect reporting policy and procedure is adhered to and ensuring appropriate follow up 
•    Manage internal and external resource levels to ensure that customer demand and recovery costs are balanced.?  
•    Download tachograph heads in each vehicle listed on the operator’s licence for the specific depot 
•    Ensure that each driver/operator within the depot downloads their digital tachograph card at least once per week 
•    Provide a first point of escalation for all operators in the region for all enquiries 
•    First point of escalation for Operation Controllers in relation to Operator issues 

The ideal candidate will have/be: 

•    Able to lead by example with a proven track record of managing operators in a multi-site environment 
•    Proficient in the use of the PDA and associated Apps, with the ability to show and train other drivers/operators in the use of the App 
•    Proficient is the use of Microsoft packages 
•    Experience of working in a transport environment (Desirable) 
•    Knowledge of transport law and the obligations of the company’s undertakings to the office of the traffic commissioner would be desirable 
•    Good communication and customer service skills 
•    Must have a current, full UK driving license.
