Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible to secure local and global supply of raw and packaging materials to the production facilities across Europe at a competitive cost and optimal quality and quantity with adequate delivery terms.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements and improves sourcing strategies for selected spend segments based on in depth market analysis, product knowledge and risks & opportunities assessment.
  • Negotiates contract conditions with suppliers using relevant e-tools (e-RFP's, e-auctions).
  • Identifies, develops and leads company savings initiatives to meet overall company goals.
  • Leads suppliers development program - sets goals and tracks suppliers’ performance as well as drives continuous improvement initiatives by organizing regular evaluation meetings, project reviews, innovation sessions.
  • Risk management - executes Enhanced Supplier Management audit plan, delivers contracts coverage goal, implements action plans to mitigate supply disruption risks, single source plans, sustainability/social responsibility initiatives.
  • Manages and resolves quality and service issues on the materials portfolio.
  • Supports financial overviews by providing detailed cost breakdown and future estimates.
  • Identifies opportunities to reduce complexity and drive efficiency in the materials portfolio
  • Actively maintains market knowledge base (supply / demand / supplier base) and monitors commodity price movements.
  • Creates SAP contracts as per negotiated supply agreements.
  • Leads sustainability initiatives for the region connecting with the supporting areas.
  • Focus on packaging materials strategies and activities in order to assure best costing available together with innovation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor degree, Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Fluent in English. French or German is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • International workplace, Manufacturing or other Global Supply Chain function experience is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a cross-cultural environment.
