Analytics Product Manager Make an Impact Fossil is seeking an Analytics Product Manager for Fossils Connected Devices Group (CDG) located in San Mateo, CA. This role will report into the head of product management for CDG. CDG Product Management is a relatively small team and as such the candidate will be in a high-impact role with visibility and access to the Fossil Group executive leadership team. The ideal candidate loves product, especially wearables, and gets very excited about discovering amazing and interesting insights about how products are used by consumers - pretty much living and breathing these insights is personally motivating. This person can also wear different hats when needed and is able to quickly jump between high-level executive discussions and low level detailed discussions with engineers. MAIN OBJECTIVE * Drive analytics for Fossils connected watches as the Lead Analytics Product Manager. This includes analytics from Fossil smartwatches running Googles WearOS as well as Fossil Hybrid and Hybrid HR watches along with their respective companion phone apps. * Plan, organize and drive product analytics efforts for connected devices from Fossil operating in different regions across the globe. * Work closely with the rest of the product management team on the overall product roadmap bringing an analytics perspective in terms of both meaningful insights from existing data that might influence the roadmap as well as shaping the insights we should draw from new products and features (i.e. help define the product requirements related to analytics). * Interface with other teams across Fossil to ascertain product analytics requests including from commercial, marketing, finance/business, ecomm and the traditional analytics team (which covers analytics from user surveys, market research, ecomm, and physical product research). * Work daily with engineering program management and data science teams to drive prioritization, understanding of analytics requests, and see deliverables through. * Drive the generation of dashboards, charts, and other data visualizations and work with the engineering team to help sanity check and validate data insights. This will initially include helping evaluate and select 3rd party analytics tools/dashboards. * Study the analytics data for meaningful insights (i.e. identifying product issues, features that work well vs dont, adoption, usage, retention per cohorts, features, etc.) * Example areas include analytics on activation, overall watch usage, phone app usage, usage of watch faces, watch apps, health tracking features, system settings, battery consumption, correlation between retention and features. * Prepare monthly and quarterly analytics highlights for CDG all hands and executive reviews, present these in the respective meetings and answer related questions. * Leverage additional data for further market analysis, input to product strategy, and product research and development. Produce competitive analysis materials comparing SW products with key competitors. * Provide technical expertise and support to other non-technical Fossil employees trying to use the analytics dashboards/tools. Technical degree in engineering or computer science preferred but not required if the candidate has experience as a product manager overseeing successful SW products. * Three years experience in software product management is required; Android apps, iOS apps and WearOS apps (or wearable apps) experience is preferred. * Experience with leading product SW analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Heap, Kissmetrics, etc * Knowledge of consumer device/software development, marketing, and sales. * Knowledge of healthcare IT department practices and operations, including an understanding of healthcare security and privacy policies and standards (e.g., HIPAA), general networking, IT hardware, etc. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development, JIRA, SW programming * Knowledge of GDPR, PII, to the extent that SW overseen, as specified in PRDs and wireframes, will meet all GDPR requirements. * Ability to converse with and address technical concerns from engineers and healthcare IT professionals. * Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinating activities to achieve desired results. * Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills. * Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are required.
