Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Engineering Intern for immediate employment in the Roanoke, VA office.
This position is expected to start in Summer 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Under the direction of a Sr. Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Creating electrical plans and details with the use of Revit or AutoCAD.
Utilize lighting software to perform lighting calculations.
Assist with the electrical design of medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, lightning protection, and grounding systems for multiple sectors including Corporate Workplace and Commercial buildings, DoD, and Mission Critical projects.
Work under supervision of a senior level team member.
