A core client for Anthony James recruitment in Rochford is seeking a head chef to join their team permanently for their site with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 on offer. This role comes with a great perks package and the opportunity to work with a well-established restaurant chain that is on the up and up. The restaurant is a family run and owned business, and the building is grade listed and hundreds of years old and in a great location.
What does the role entail?
As a head Chef you will be working across two restaurants to ensure the dishes are up to the high standard of the restaurant. The kitchen will get busy, and you might have to work across different sections to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and the food looks presentable. Working 5 of the 7 on a rota basis. You'll be working in a well-established restaurant with two different food outlets, both using fresh produce and creating dishes to be proud of.
What skills will you have?
To be successful in the role you will have previous experience in a similar aspiring restaurant. You will be a hard-working, flexible, and trustworthy team player, who can lead management and the team when needed. Having experience with different cuisine and previous experience in restaurants is preferred. You will be able to provide staff with the tools to do their job ensuring stocks and costs are kept to ideal levels. Experience managing kitchen financials whilst developing relationships with suppliers, management, and the team. Above all else you will be a team player who can contribute to the success of an amazing restaurant.
