They are looking to recruit a Data and Funding Manager to work at HMP Chelmsford who will ensure data and funding processes are used effectively across the education department and to ensure the maximum drawdown is claimed.
You will ensure that work is compliant, generate and analyse reports and review current processes, looking for improvements whilst driving efficiency and maximising funding and data management.
You should have a passion for what you do along with relevant and recent experience. You will need to hold NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent and ideally you will have a management qualification or significant management experience.
You should be able to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills along with excellent attention to detail and maturity to deal with people with challenging behaviour. You will be excellent at planning and organising your own workload whilst approaching everything with a positive 'can do' attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure the data matches the registers, they are complete, check that no data is missing and to sense check the data.
* To ensure assessments & the LRS, registers, achievements, LDPs, exception reports are being completed by the onsite admin team.
* Curious- inputting is accurate and is in line with previous OLASS 4 funding rules
* Learners are allocated to the correct course and at the right level Reports
* Weekly findings report to the Education Manager that provide a summary of concerned areas.
* Monthly reports completed for the Education Manager and Regional Head of Education for their Governance meetings.
* Check ADRs on a weekly basis and ensure to ensure uninformed data is provided to the MI team.
* Where evidence of delivery on ADR this is reflected on enrolment on the curious.
* Submit the OES template monthly to the MI team.
* Exception reports should be followed up with the on-site teams and provide updated to the EDM weekly.
* Create a compliance and audit checklist that will form the basis of the onsite admin training to always ensure audit ready.
* Register Checks: Compare learners / qualifications on registers to those “live” on Curious, identifying those missing and those in excess of expected end dates.
* Tracker Checks: Compare learners / qualifications to those “live” on Curious in classes where the delivery multiple qualifications may lead to the above check giving a false positive. i.e. ESOL where learners are enrolled by units.
* DR checks – ADR v Register, general ADR compliance
Person Specification:
* Management qualification and or experience.
* Minimum NVQ level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Excellent knowledge of IT based systems.
* Excellent knowledge of IT based systems.
* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail.
* High standard of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
* Clear understanding of the OFSTED framework (EIF) with the ability to meet all standards.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS or DS check or Prison Security Clearance where applicable and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK
