Warehouse Operative with Valid FLT Certificate Wanted in Chelmsford

Pay Rate: £12.44 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Type: Temp to perm for the right candidate after 12 weeks.

Location: Chelmsford CM3 (Due to the location, own transport is necessary)

Job Description: We are seeking a Warehouse Operative with a valid FLT certificate for our client, a leading wholesales and distribution business.

This role involves more than just forklift operation; candidates must also be comfortable handling 25kg boxes.

Key Responsibilities:

Picking stock and palletizing for dispatch
Stock replenishments using a pump truck
Moving stock from goods-in area to overstocks and picking/packing
General warehouse maintenance, including keeping all locations and aisles free of debris, sweeping, and clearing all areas
Adhering to health and safety regulations
Unloading containers (once a counterbalance licence is obtained)
Knowledge & Skills:

Essential: Counterbalance licence
Attention to detail and good communication skills
Ability to prioritize workload
Knowledge of health and safety and warehouse procedures
Ability to work well within a small team and maintain a can-do attitude
Full driving licence due to the location (employees must be able to commute independently)
Ideal Candidates Will:

Have previous warehouse experience
Be able to lift heavy materials daily
Be reliable, flexible, and trustworthy
