Electrician

Electrician based in Sunderland and Durham.

Up to £45,000

Role & Responsibilities:

The Electrician’s role will be required to complete the following list of key responsibilities:

* 18th edition and C&G 2391 testing inspection - Desirable

* Carry out Pre-Installation building inspections (PIBI’s) in line with PAS2030

* Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.

* Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

* Follow local building regulations.

* Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

* Drafting electrical installation plans and technical diagrams, technical surveys, and ensure all health and safety requirements are met.

* Carry out site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with MCS and PAS2030

* Efficiently complete work orders and record materials that are used on each job/project.

* Advise management on when to replace any electrical equipment to prevent hazards.

* Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

* Review and evolve our design process (where required) in line with relevant industry standards.

* Understand & apply electrical installation elements of PAS2035, PAS2030 and Building Regulations.

* Maintain and build relationships with colleagues, consultants and subcontractors.

Desirable Skills

* Electrical background essential, with current (18th edition) qualification 2+ years of experienced preferred.

* Able to use MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook

* Good interpersonal and strong communication skills

* Good writing and presentation skills

* Strong time management skills, allowing switching between a variety of tasks and meeting a combination of daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.

* Must be analytical and problem solving

* A flexible, self-motivating and agile attitude.

* Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills

* Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, creating a team spirit.

* Full UK driving licence
