Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Job Location: Hybrid (Predominantly remote with required presence in London and Manchester)
Responsible to: Assistant Financial Controller
Hours of Work: 40 per week

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join us and embark on a career journey that not only involves managing numbers but also shaping the future of finance across our healthcare services and digital solutions divisions.

You will provide accounting support to the Assistant Financial Controller in respect of management accounts preparation, year-end accounts work, control accounts, credit control, journal postings, KPI management and assist other team members where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for Omnes and Evergreen.
Maintenance of sales invoices and associated reports (MDS and block).
Carry out ledger maintenance for group companies including accruals and prepayments.
Support the year end audit process.
Process staff expenses claims.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Support all purchase ledger activity.
Process payments for approval on banking platform.
Assist in management of credit control.
Prepare IR35 assessments.
Provide pension reconciliations.
Support continuous improvement activity.
Other duties as required by the business.

You will need

Experience in related finance roles, ready to take the next leap in your career.
AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
Intermediate Excel skills and confident in both written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and deadline focussed.
Prior experience in the health sector is a plus, but not mandatory.
Exposure to multi-site business operations is advantageous.
Familiarity with Sage and/or Xero is advantageous.
