The Role

This role represents an excellent opportunity and will particularly suit a highly driven, enthusiastic and ambitious individual looking to develop and advance a long term career with a progressive organisation.

It is anticipated that there will be a significant learning curve for the successful candidate as this will be both a commercial and operational focused position involving a significant level of project management in order to develop a rounded understanding of the company’s operational structure and its ability to fulfil customers’ requirements.

Working closely with the company’s experienced Senior Management Team, the General Manager Designate will become involved with all areas of the business in order to develop, over a significant period of time, the widespread skills and experience required in order to become an effective and accomplished operator at the top level of the organisation. This will require commercial acumen together with a genuine desire to learn and develop plus the ambition to optimise this outstanding opportunity.

The Candidate

Educated to degree level or equivalent, candidates must live within commuting distance of Aylesbury as this position will be based full time at the company’s site.

Proven business /commercial experience is also required and, although the role will entail gaining knowledge and experience from the Senior Management Team, a technical appreciation and general understanding of manufacturing will be beneficial as will proven ability to project manage and liaise effectively with customers.

Most importantly, the thirst for knowledge and the ability to liaise proficiently at all levels is required together with the ambition and potential to achieve the level of knowledge and experience needed to operate effectively as the company’s General Manager in the future.
