If so, we have the role for you! Tradewind Recruitment are actively seeking a 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a named student with ASD at a secondary school in the Canterbury area. The hours are full time between 8:15am and 3:30pm with a daily rate of between £83.33 and £100 depending on experience.

The role:

Build a strong rapport and trust with the student to create a supportive learning environment
Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEP's) and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of the student
Providing academic support across various subjects and assisting with organisation and time management skills
Facilitating social skills development and promoting inclusion within the school community
Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO's and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the studentRequirements:

Experience of working with individuals with ASD, preferably in an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs
Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
