3.5 Tonne Van driver

As a 3.5 Tonne Delivery Driver for our metal warehouse, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries of metal products to our customers. Operating a 3.5 tonne van, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 3.5 tonne van to deliver metal products to customers in a timely manner.
Load and unload metal products onto and from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in proper working condition.
Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the warehouse supervisor, optimizing efficiency and minimizing delays.
Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details, address any concerns, and provide outstanding service.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery and any discrepancies encountered during the delivery process.
Assist warehouse staff with inventory management tasks, including counting, organizing, and storing metal products.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Familiarity with metal products and handling procedures is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks in a warehouse setting.
Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of local roads and routes.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery documentation.
