A well established, reputable service business based in Harrogate have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their warm, friendly, and fast-paced team on a full time, permanent basis. On offer is a salary of up to £25,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free onsite parking and the option to work from home one day a week. There is also a 5% bonus offered with the role.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:

Supporting with and taking responsibility for the cashbook and bank reconciliations process
Raising and processing of payments to strict deadlines
Assisting with the production and processing of invoices when needed
Providing support around the balance sheet when required
Producing accruals, prepayments, and journals
Assisting with any project work within the finance team and liaising with key stakeholders
Maintaining accuracy with transactions and ensuring the all internal processes are followed and are audit proof
As the role progresses the position with assist more closely with the month end and management accounts processSuitable individuals will ideally:-

Have some previous finance experience or will have a recent finance related degree
Have a passion to work within finance and will have either started studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA or will be committed to completing their studies whilst gaining practical working experience
Be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst retaining accuracy
Be highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
Have strong attention to detail
Will be fully competent with Microsoft Word and Excel
