Quality Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a leading global manufacturer of high-performance products who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Sheffield operation. Reporting into the Quality Manager, this role will support the management of customer relationships from a quality standpoint and support the management of their QMS.
The business supply critical products across a range of markets including aerospace & defence and have evolved and adapted their products, technologies, and manufacturing presence to meet the demands of current and emerging markets. 
Duties & responsibilities include:

Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System 
Create and submit FAIRs 
Support the creation and submission of PPAP
Become one of the customer direct contact to resolve quality issues.
Work with the team towards timely closure of corrective actions for customer returns and internal non-conformances.
Work with Engineers in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors have the processes and systems necessary to supply products that meet company quality requirements.
Perform internal audits as per internal, customer and QMs criteria’s.
Promote and support the drive of continuous improvement in all quality processes.
I'd be keen to speak to Quality Engineer's with the following skillset:

Previous experience in an applicable Quality/Engineering environment
Good knowledge of quality tools and methodologies i.e. Ishikawa fishbone, 5 whys, SPC, gage RR, 8D 
Internal auditing to ISO9001 
Excellent time management and organisation skills
