Engineering Team Leader

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a Rotherham-based food manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Team Leader.

Salary - £50,000

This is a hands-on Engineering Team Leader role, leading a team of 4 engineers the role would suit someone who is able to work on their own initiative with a can-do, enthusiastic, first-time fix attitude.

Duties of the Engineering Team Leader include:

Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on the plant
Attend breakdowns on production equipment and related plant
During plant shutdown undertake overhaul and reconditioning of plant generated through the preventative maintenance process
Adopt a proactive approach to improving plant and equipment reliability through project/development / objectives.
Assign work, plan maintenance issues, react to current situations, and ensure planned maintenance and work orders are efficiently carried out
Frequently line walk by yourself and your team to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance
Work closely with Operations on priority, improvements, and coordination of activities
Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance
Ensure plant downtime is kept to a minimum to maximise production efficiency and effectiveness
Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.
We would be keen to speak with Engineering Team Leader with the following experience: 

Recognised engineering qualifications, appropriate for the role.
Mechanically/ Electrically biased 
FMCG experience 
Previous experience of managing a team and leading others
Experience working in occupied premises
Enthusiastic approach and self-motivation. Identifies opportunities for improvement without guidance
