The Client:

The company is a world leader in the distribution and compounding of thermoplastics. They are a global group with eight manufacturing locations worldwide, as well as multiple sales subsidiaries throughout Europe, North America, Asia and North America.

The Role:

· Develop, implement and drive strategy for sales growth in line with company strategy – responsible for North East Italy
· Development and support of existing and new customers - ensure continuation of existing business: exceeding agreed budget targets as well as identifying potential opportunities for new business (identify and target new customers and markets)
· Recording of customer, competitor & market related information in CRM system, e.g. Contact reports and potential lines (demand of customer covered by competitors/other suppliers) and contacts.
· Project identification: develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities capable of delivering net growth into the sales area that meets the business objectives – monitoring and reporting on all commercial projects in the region (OPP’s in CRM system)
· Prepare (SAP) and follow up quotations (CRM system) & samples
· Pricing negotiations with customers – including contract negotiations – in agreement with the MD/DSO/SMC (e.g. Payment and delivery conditions as well as bonuses and discounts etc)
· Monitor usage/fulfilling of bonus (customer rebate) agreements
· Regular analysis of sales performance
· Re-engage non buying customers (BW standard report)
· Report on area sales development to supervisor
· Preparation of sales budget in collaboration with ISR
· Customer care (eg. First contact for complaints and other issues)
· Creation and editing of ZSAR/RPD’s for product developments, e.g. Color matches and follow up on corresponding samples
· Customer classification in alignment with ISR
· Involve ISR in customer visits on a regular basis
· Attend customer events, seminars, exhibitions etc. as required
· Participate in regional sales meetings and give presentations as requested
· First escalation level for open dunning issues (3rd & 4th level)
· Assessing the customer creditworthiness in line with credit control guidance
· Goodwill handling and cash discount reductions in accordance with local guidelines

The Person:

· Long standing and relevant professional experience in Field Sales
· Deep technical knowledge and understanding of all polymer types and their application
· Completed commercial and/or technical apprenticeship / training
· Preferably with existing customer network within dedicated sales area
· Located or open to move to North East Italy
· Computer skills: MS Office, SAP
· Knowledge in Business Management
· Efficient time management and organizational skills
· Capacity for analytical thought
· Excellent communication skills
· Team Player
· Ability to implement the corporate strategy and interests while raising the customer satisfaction
· Excellent negotiating skills
· Self-confident
· Self-motivated and pro - active
· Ambitious & goal oriented personality
· Able & prepared to manage change in daily business
· Ability to manage / solve conflicts
· Fluent in English, spoken & written
