The Product Service division has a team of developers creating solutions to help the business achieve its ambitions growth objectives. We are seeking an experienced Software Test Manager, with a hands-on approach to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our software testing strategy and sizing and building a new software test group. The initial focus will be ensuring effective testing for a critical windows application, but it is expected that the team will need to grow to address the group’s testing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Test Strategy Development:

* Formulate and execute an effective test strategy for both Windows and Web applications.

* Conduct a thorough analysis of project requirements and collaborate with the development team to design and implement test plans.

* Oversee and actively contribute to the testing efforts for critical applications.

* Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.

* Drive the implementation of automated testing processes to enhance efficiency and test coverage.

* Evaluate and implement appropriate testing tools to streamline the testing pipeline.

* Develop plans for future growth of the test team in anticipation of expanding projects and applications.

* Identify hiring needs and contribute to the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.

* Participate in sprint planning, review meetings, and other collaborative activities.

* Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and best practices.

* Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality guidelines.

* Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.

* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance testing methodologies.

Essential Criteria – as the successful candidate, you will have:

* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

* Recent and in-depth experience in software testing and working with WPF, C# and desktop application testing.

* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

* Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices, including experience with automated testing frameworks.

* Experience with test management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, or TestRail.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of identifying and isolating defects in complex software systems.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

* Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.

* Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
