MEICA Project Manager
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MEICA Project Manager to join a career enhancing project in the West Midlands.
Our client is working closely with Severn Trent Water on their Capital Delivery Framework, as part of its c£2 billion capital programme for AMP7.
Responsibilities
• An enthusiastic, efficient, highly conscientious person with a range of communication skills who is committed to working collaboratively to deliver a quality product under pressure without compromising Health & Safety and Quality.
• Client facing role requiring the individual to discuss and negotiate complex MEICA issues with the client and formulate credible solutions in a professional and collaborative manner.
• Experience of integrating new equipment into an existing treatment works. Experience of Water and wastewater treatment processes would be an advantage.
• Proven Competence in the full spectrum of MEICA installation and commissioning either by academic or apprenticeship routes.
• Develop cost effective engineering specifications and schedules for tender. Assess bids and make recommendations for tender awards.
• Reviewing design calculations and value engineering on the role.
• Leading a team of technical M&E engineers with all of the included duties across both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Carry out quality assessment of the design works to ensure that at the design stage of the project, risk assessment in accordance with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulation was taken into consideration.
• Liaise with site teams regarding the installation process as a technical support.
• Review of existing design of all electrical and mechanical systems.
• Assisting and advising on the production of engineering design and detail in accordance with employers’ specifications and quality management system.
• Assisting with the appointment of sub-contractors and reviewing their technical capabilities.
• Management and supervision of the installation, offline and on-line commissioning
• Procure, Plan and Manage MEICA installation and commissioning activities
• Input into commissioning plan and commissioning meetings
• Ensure the existing treatment system is not unduly affected by the installation and commissioning activities.
• Ensure high standards of safety and environmental protection are consistently maintained on site
• Ensure final product is to specification, right first time and quality records are available
• Development and delivery of client training package
• Compiling handover documentation
• Deliver in line with client KPMs & KPIs and values
• Promote us as the contractor of choice
• Establish close working relationship with our client, our staff and our supply chain.

• Carry out other relevant duties as required of the position.
Role Requirements
• Understanding of Engineering Principles
• A working Knowledge of the principles of the NEC4 forms of contract through experience and formal training.
• Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS / IOSH )
• IT literate in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Personable and professional manner
• Confident, Self-motivated & Self-tasking
• A proven ability to organise and manage multiple tasks and a diverse team
