Operations Manager

UK Power Networks is looking for an Operations Manager (LPN) to join its Capital Programme - Construction & Commissioning Team based in London - West Ham office.

The Operations Manager (LPN) will report to the Head of Construction & Commissioning and will lead a team of around 55 members, including Lead Project Engineers and Lead Commissioning Engineers. The main responsibilities of the role include managing the safety, leadership, construction and commissioning aspects of the LPN Capital Programme Operations Team, ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations, delivering projects on time, cost and quality, and developing operational resources and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have relevant academic and technical qualifications, preferably chartered in construction or engineering, and must hold the NEBOSH Certificate. You should also have experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 132kV, knowledge of building services systems, distribution HV and EHV systems, and procurement strategies.

You should demonstrate excellent management, delegation and coaching skills, working knowledge of programme, project and construction management processes and best practice, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.

The salary for this role is dependent on knowledge and experience, and the candidate will also receive a car allowance, a bonus of 10% and various additional benefits, such as pension plan, tax efficient benefits, occupational health support, and discounted access to sports and social clubs.
