Part-Time Sample Receptionist

Part-Time Sample Reception Technician
Pay: £11.44 per hour with shift enhancement on top
Contract Length: Until 31/12/2024
Working Hours: Tues – Sat, 6am - 10.a.m starts. (Sat hours at £17.16 p/h, and hours before 7.a.m are at £17.16 p/h)
Working in the Operational Support team at the Starcross Laboratory.
The role involves the registration of samples in a laboratory environment. This includes unpacking of samples from crates, using LIMS (laboratory information management) database system to register samples by swiping barcodes. There will be some basic interaction the LIMS system and organising of samples onto trolleys, plus delivery of samples to laboratory sections. Maintains customer focus to ensure good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
We are looking for someone with good communication skills, that works well with others & as part of a team. You will need basic IT skills, and will be required to follow health and safety protocols.
Successful candidate will need to compete a DBS check (costing £18).
Please note:
* Working Pattern, 20 hrs per week, Tuesdays to Saturdays.
* Enhanced pay of time and a half for Saturday Hours and any hours before 7am
