We are currently looking to employ a Technical Manager with experience in working with Timber, possessing building skills and demonstrable management skills. This is a manufacturing-based opportunity.

This job is based out of our Bedford Headquarters – MK41 0LF
Job Includes:
* Signing off any proposed new products before issuing to a factory for pricing in case changes need to be made, and signing off the finished product pre-launch in Marketing.
* Reviewing existing products to ensure that the instructions for customers are simple to understand.
* Reviewing materials for the best and most cost-effective use of them in conjunction with our Timber Buyer and Design / Drawing office teams
* Considering the best use of packing for storage and damage-free packing and movements
* Ensuring that any products comply with any Statutory Regulations and Best Practices
* Ensuring Best and Trade practices to ensure the assembly of finished products is windproof and waterproof, as applicable
* Carrying out site visits
* Analysing the utilisation of our resources and adherence to the standards required to make the company successful.
* Constantly being aware of the limitations of our suppliers with the raw materials we need to manufacture cost-effectively.
* Carry out all other requests from Senior Management on an ad hoc or regular basis as required.
Normal hours of work are Monday – Friday; between 08.30 – 17.30
Requirements:

* Circa £40,000 per annum
