Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education connects exceptional supply staff with UK schools and nurseries. We provide teaching talent for permanent roles, temporary jobs, and everything in between.

Job Duties:

Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their learning and development
Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
Providing one-to-one support to students as required
Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of different types of SEND and appropriate support strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and resilience

Working Conditions:

Working in a school environment
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
