Summary
My high-profile Utilities client is looking for a Strategy Lead to join their team Based at their Warwick offices (2 days a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.
Job Purpose
Great Britain's electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and important transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system, one that protects the planet and serves generations to come. The Infrastructure Development and Delivery Team within National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are working on creating a robust, well justified, high quality investment plan for our upcoming regulation price control submission.
We need a strategically minded, proactive, well organised individual to monitor progress, drive actions and create visual concise communications for an Exec level audience.
The responsibilities of this role include:
* Understanding and documenting the ambition for the investment plan submission in Dec 2024 and the interim steps required to get there.
* Monitor progress of Infrastructure Development & Delivery's Investment Plan, providing early warning and mitigation actions if activities are not on track.
* Providing analysis on Infrastructure Development & Delivery's investment plan make up.
* Creating visual concise communications for an Exec level audience.
* Supporting the writing the overarching narrative for the investment plan and regional strategies ensuring they are well considered with a strategic, future looking lens applied.
* Building relationships across Infrastructure Development & Delivery to understand makeup of the investment plan.
* Organise the Infrastructure Development & Delivery stakeholders to ensure they feed into the plan at the right time, with the quality detail required.
* Note there are opportunities for this role to be required in the enduring structure beyond Dec 2024. The role would involve providing strategic and communications support to the Programme Director.
Qualifications & knowledge required.
* Essential:
* Strategic background and experience (ideally ex management consultancy)
* Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong slide writing and Excel skills.
* UK driving license.
