Job Description: As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical engineering systems and installations in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. You will collaborate closely with the project management and engineering teams to develop competitive bids, assess project requirements, and contribute to the overall success of our ventures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our projects are financially viable, well-planned, and executed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

* Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to understand project requirements fully.

* Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

* Source and solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

* Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to develop cost-effective solutions that meet project objectives.

* Create comprehensive bid proposals, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses.

* Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather critical information for accurate estimates.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to enhance the estimating process.

* Review and analyze project bids and contracts, providing insights to improve future estimating accuracy.

* Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

* Maintain organized records and documentation related to estimates and bids.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, with expertise in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

* Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).

* Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

* Effective communication and negotiation abilities to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
