Position: Prep Cook Location: Lookout Tavern, Phoenix, Arizona Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Job Description: As a Prep Cook at Lookout Tavern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Your dedication to food quality, safety, and timeliness will be essential to the success of our culinary offerings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and portion ingredients according to the recipes and guidelines provided by the head chef.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations, ensuring all equipment and tools are sanitized and ready for use.
Wash, peel, chop, and dice vegetables, fruits, and meats to be used in various dishes.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy hours and assist with food preparation during peak times.
Keep track of inventory and report any shortages to the kitchen manager or chef in a timely manner.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements
Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary establishment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
Flexibility to work weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Must be a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, or able to commute to the location reliably.
