Infrastructure Security Engineer 

A fantastic opportunity to work with one of our growing data insight clients who work across multiple sectors including FinTech. 

Location: Hybrid working - office located in central London 

Salary: £70,000 with a total package up to £80,000 including benefits 

Role description: 

Secure infrastructure across three physical offices and multiple MS Cloud subscriptions with a balanced-risk approach.

Design and implement technical information security controls and countermeasures aligned with specific risks.

Ensure adherence to policies and compliance requirements while operating established security measures.

Deliver standardized security measures for cloud resources to enable efficient self-service by approved teams.

Automate manual or repetitive tasks to enhance end-to-end security efficiency.

Respond to new security threats through cross-functional collaboration.

Conduct thorough security incident investigations, identifying root causes and necessary actions.

Implement and administer technical security tools, providing training as needed.

Optimize the cost-effectiveness of cloud-based security measures within the infrastructure.

Stay updated on emerging threats and security practices in a cloud-centric environment.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, particularly InfoSec and Product/Platform teams.

  Skills / Qualifications required: 

Proficient in modern information security methodologies, techniques, and tooling for both physical and cloud infrastructure.

Familiarity with key security standards/frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.

Experience securing infrastructure within a DevOps organization, including adherence to secure coding standards, automation, and enterprise monitoring tools, particularly in Microsoft Azure.

Previous experience working with Meraki would be highly desirable for this position. 

Demonstrated expertise in implementing security controls and countermeasures across IP-based networks, WAN technologies, virtual server technologies, and Microsoft Cloud environments on both Windows and Linux.

Hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention  and Endpoint Detection and Response technologies like Microsoft Defender.

Proficient in modern Security Information and Event Management solutions and associated workflow automation. 

Capable of proactively owning and coordinating the resolution of security issues to maintain alignment with business needs.

Skilled in breaking down complex problems to identify root causes and troubleshoot issues across various technology platforms.
