Interface Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in The Netherlands.
Responsibilities
Supporting the identification and tracking of interfaces between the various stakeholders and work packages
Development and management of the Project Interface Documentation, such as the Interface Scope Split Matrix (or Matrices), Interface Sketches and Schematics and other Interface trackers as required.
Creating, discussing, implementing, and refining the Interface Management Tools & Processes across the Project
Supporting the Project / work packages in preparation of ITTs (Invitation To Tender) and subsequently final contracts focusing, particularly, on ensuring there are no gaps nor overlaps in the various technical scopes described.
Coordinating with the various work packages and Project Planning team to ensure the timely delivery of design information between the interfacing work packages.
Supporting with, and as required leading, contract negotiations with the Project's key suppliers concerning interface matters
Coordinating and leading various internal and external interface meetings, workshops, and drills/simulations
Preparation of meeting minutes as required
Responsible for monitoring the interactions between and across the design programmes and for highlighting the risks which can result in claims and delays due to unclear interface definitions.
Responsible for mediation between the various work packages and for helping find the best technical and economical solutions, ensuring the engineering solutions for the interfaces meet the continuous cost reduction efforts.
Supporting work packages to deliver in accordance with the requirements regarding budget, timeliness, quality, HSE, applicable laws, regulations, and consent stipulations.
Escalating any problems which cannot be solved in the work packages to the Technical ManagersRequirements
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with focus on design of offshore steel structures or similar areas of study.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience with planning / executing of international offshore wind projects.
Demonstrates understanding of sequencing of project planning and interfaces.
Commercial understanding to describe and document interfaces.
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and prepare independent decisions.
Fluent in English (Dutch speaking would also be desirable).
