WS Development is seeking a Director of Marketing to oversee all marketing activity related to and in support of its Seaport project. This is an exciting opportunity to drive brand strategy; neighborhood activation and art programs; partnerships; as well as owned, earned and paid media in support of one of the citys largest single real estate projects. We are looking for an right- and left-brained marketing leader who can help us grow the Seaport brand with highly creative, culturally-connected, category-leading ideas. This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing at WS Development and liaise often with other interdisciplinary leaders.
The Director of Marketing, Seaport will be expected to be a leader in the development of innovative and impactful marketing strategies for our Seaport development. She or he will be responsible for creating and managing brand strategy, overseeing a team of marketing disciplinary leads and communicating strategy and results both internally and externally. This position is inclusive of big idea ideation, strategy and a keen eye towards execution and results.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience driving various forms of marketing from advertising, to email marketing, to cross-channel content marketing, VIP programs, partnerships/sponsorships, events and activation and PR. This position will work closely with internal stakeholders, the surrounding Seaport community and a variety of vendors.
Immediate Opportunity/Initial Success:
Initial success will include the development of strong, collaborative relationships with your cross-functional partners across company disciplines, including Operations, Development, Leasing, Retail Experience and Incubation, Finance and more. It will also include the development of strong relationships with your direct reports a team of highly accomplished marketing professionals with deep experience in their individual disciplines. Strong communication skills will also be critical to represent Seaports goals and strategies both internally to WS leadership and externally to tenant partners, community groups, media and the like

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree; Communications-focus is a plus.
8-10 plus years in Marketing; strong foundation in and understanding of retail business dynamics; deep event marketing and social media marketing applied experience; exceptional relationship management skills.
Strong understanding of brand management and eye for creative, content and aesthetics.
Advanced in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
