Pipe Fitter/Welder – Suffolk/Essex Border

Permanent Position, Salary £40,000-£45,000 (including overtime) plus company vehicle.

With a comprehensive portfolio of work across a variety of industry sectors, our client is seen as a genuine specialist in industrial pipework installation both above and below ground.

Following the award of new contracts and an enviable list of repeat business clients, this well-established regional business is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter/Welder to join a busy engineering division specialising in industrial pipework for various systems including hot and cold water, steam, natural gas, fuel oils and LPG.

We are looking for applications from Pipe Fitters/Welders with experience of installing the following:

* Plate Heat Exchangers

* Calorifiers

* Pumps

* Fuel and Water Storage Tanks

* Water Boosting Equipment.

Having the knowledge and skills required to handle larger diameter screwed steel, stainless steel, and copper (press-fit/soldered/brazed) and PVC/ABS pipework systems is essential. Additionally, recent project awards have involved heating systems, pumps, and maintenance works therefore these skills would be a distinct benefit.

Nice to have’s:

* Electrical qualification for basic isolation/disconnection/reconnection of equipment due to the nature of recent projects would be advantageous.
