Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist

We are currently hiring an Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist with 1-5 years of environmental consulting experience in our growing Chattanooga office. The successful candidate will work with an energetic and entrepreneurial team of brownfield investigation and remediation professionals.
This position requires a combination of field and office work. Although the majority of field work will be focused in Eastern Tennessee, occasional travel may be required. This is a project-manager track position.
This role will support Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental investigation and remediation projects at sites with contamination by materials such as solvents, petroleum fuels, metals, and PCBs. You have the opportunity to join a dynamic team working on large, technically engaging, and impactful projects.
A successful candidate will be able to perform various tasks including field work, soil and groundwater sampling, drilling supervision, reporting writing, and supporting project managers on various projects, which may also include supporting natural resources, industrial hygiene, and compliance-related services. Candidates experienced with the Tennessee Brownfields Redevelopment Program will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
Execution of field investigation programs targeting soil, groundwater, soil vapor, etc.
Data tabulation and management
Field and laboratory data review and interpretation
Technical report writing and review
Environmental monitoring and construction oversight
Occasional out of town travel
Requirements
1-5 Years Experience performing Phase II ESAs and brownfield investigation and remediation projects.
BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or closely related field
MS Office Suite proficiency
Strong communication skills, critical thinking, creativity
Field sampling experience
Ability to lift up to 50-pounds regularly.
Possess and maintain and valid driver’s license.
40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date annual refresher
