Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women's Services team. In this role, you will oversee patient care in our Women's Services department, which includes Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum/Couplet care. You will lead a team of dedicated nurses, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care to mothers and newborns. This is a full-time night shift position with a flexible, self-scheduling option.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the Women's Services nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of care for mothers and newborns.
Oversee the labor and delivery process, providing support and guidance to the nursing staff and ensuring that care is delivered in a family-centered environment.
Manage patient flow within the unit, coordinating care to meet the needs of the patient and the team.
Ensure that all nursing practices align with established protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
Act as a liaison between the nursing team, patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and care coordination.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and improve unit performance.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in Women's Services.
Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
