This role is working for a Global Engineering company within the food and beverage sector. This role would be mainly office based in Runcorn.
Description
In this role you will be working on software which connect to hardware
The software you are working on tells the device / machine what to do and you work on both parts
The software links to packaging lines, labellers, xray machines, metal detectors, wrappers, packaging machines etc
You will be testing software to a device / small piece of equipment
Contribute to the next generation of core products
Focus on enabling the driver development process, from communication with the manufacturer and specification of the driver's behaviour down to testing device driver, documentation and troubleshootingProfile
Must haves:
Testers on BOTH Software AND Hardware
Nice to haves:
Degree or background in Electronics, electrical, mechatronics, robotics, engineering
Knowledge of:
Drivers
Signals
Comms
Industrial protocol
HEX
Device protocol
