Job Title: Urban Designer/Senior Urban Designer
Location: London
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE
Are you a dynamic and skilled Urban Designer/Senior Urban Designer looking for an exciting opportunity to join a creative and collaborative team with fantastic progression opportunities? Our client is expanding its London based Urban Design team and wants to meet with you!
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 3+ years of UK-based experience in an architectural/urban design practice, focusing on residential and mixed-use schemes. A postgraduate (Master’s) degree in urban design with a background in architecture is required. Effective teamwork, client, and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and spoken, are essential. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp rendering/visualization packages is required. Additionally, candidates should have good hand-drawn skills and the ability to manage time, workload, and tight deadlines while remaining focused, calm, and professional.
Key Duties:
* Work on a variety of projects including masterplans, urban design projects, outline applications and design codes.
* Prepare and oversee the preparation of supporting drawings, character assessments, conceptual and feasibility studies, development briefs and detailed design guidance.
* Support and manage small/middle-size projects while mentoring junior team members.
* Be a key player in delivering large strategic masterplans.
* Collaborate with a wider team to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
