We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to join our team.

Job Description:

Role Overview:
The Ofsted Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations. The role involves leadership, operational management, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and development of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
- Provide strong, effective leadership to the staff team, ensuring a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the home meets all statutory and regulatory requirements, particularly those set by Ofsted.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines, and best practices.
- Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, ensuring positive outcomes.

3. Child Welfare and Development:
- Promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all children and young people in the home.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place and adhered to at all times.

4. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a competent and motivated staff team.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Address any staffing issues promptly and effectively.

5. Operational Management:
- Manage the home's budget, resources, and facilities efficiently.
- Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping and reporting.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the community.

6. Continuous Improvement:
- Lead on the development and implementation of the home's policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and make improvements as necessary.
- Promote a culture of learning and reflection within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a managerial role within a children's residential setting.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a children’s home in compliance with Ofsted regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
