Aufgaben

We are looking for a highly responsible and collaborative ESS Technology Intern to perform product analysis and provide technical customer support to our European clients in the field of clean energy technology. This is an up to 6-month paid internship with an opportunity for employment.

This position is part-time (20h), on-site, and based in Vienna, Austria.

As an ESS Technology Intern, you will:

Liaise between European and Chinese Technical Teams

  • Assist in understanding and conveying the needs, concerns, and objectives of both teams to foster mutual understanding.
  • Participate in discussions on technical cases in English, offering assistance in breaking down complex concepts for improved comprehension across language and cultural differences.
  • Aid in facilitating technical discussions by providing support in translations between English and Mandarin (when necessary) and ensuring clarity in communication.
  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies aimed at improving communication efficiency between European and Chinese teams.

Offer Assistance to the Technical Team

  • Develop a deep understanding of the battery technology, product, and industry
  • Engage in practical tasks (e.g. reading and reviewing technical reports, etc.)
  • Learn and practice existing customer support procedures
  • Assist in implementing standard procedures for customer support

Be a part of Continuous Improvement

  • Identify potential weaknesses and offer improvement suggestions
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and product trends
  • Propose ideas to help improve customer care and build upon existing processes

Profil

Required Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree or student in electrical engineering, energy, physics, chemistry (preferred), business/ translation or other relevant fields
  • Excellent written and verbal Mandarin and English (required)
  • At least 1 year of previous relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and general computer literacy
