NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Responsible Person & Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

Give an overview of the role/ team.

Every day you will … 

Ensure continued compliance with the Human Medicines Regulations as defined in the 2022 green guide for the Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributers.
Attend and host Regulatory inspections with the Regulatory Compliance lead.
Help design and implement a compliance program, liaising with the regulator to ensure the program adheres to regulatory and compliance standards.
Take responsibility for providing specific elements of the regulatory compliance service with guidance from senior colleagues.
Manage the regulatory audit assignments, ensuring that the team plans and delivers audits that cover identified risk areas and that appropriate corrective actions are agreed on with auditees. Resolve issues arising from audits and refer serious or contentious issues to the Regulatory Compliance Lead.
Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?

Cogent Gold Standard Responsible Person or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of Good Distribution Practice and how to apply it across the supply chain.
Ability to lead regulatory audits internally and externally.
Provides guidance and training to others while interpreting and applying knowledge of regulations in their area of expertise.
Ability to guide and train others on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations.
Supports the Regulatory Compliance Lead with implementing any changes required to ensure compliance to current and future regulations.
