About the Company
A leading national contractor are looking for an established Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working from offices in Cheshire. This business are a market leader in Highways, Civil Engineering, Energy and Rail sectors, and turnover in excess of £500m a year. Their Energy division alone turnover £200m a year and are responsible for building and maintaining power infrastructure including Overhead Lines, Cabling, and Substations, as well as overseeing a growing pipeline of work in renewables, building windfarm connections and battery storage facilities. This is an incredibly lucrative and buoyant side of the market, and this business are welcoming established Quantity Surveyors from backgrounds in civils, highways, rail, and utilities to join them in the delivery of headline power infrastructure projects across the UK.
About the Role
* Collate costs in relation to power infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works, delivered mainly under a NEC contract
* Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain
* Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers
* Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders
* Contract administration with both client and subcontractors
* Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification
What's Required
You are an established Quantity Surveyor with at least three/four years industry experience and a proven ability to manage projects from £1-10m in value. You have solid NEC contractual knowledge and have industry experience in utilities, highways, civil engineering or rail sectors ideally.
What's on Offer
Basic salary is negotiable between 35-55k dependant on experience, plus car / car allowance. Company pension, healthcare and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Full package details are available on request
