Location: Surbiton, Surrey
Salary: £12.00 per hour plus benefits.
Hours: 15hrs per week - Saturdays and Sundays
Employment type:  Part Time, Permanent.

We're on the lookout for a weekend Female Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You'll need to be able to drive and have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.
Furthermore, as a Support Worker you will be responsible for: 
Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; peg feeding; medication and administration.
Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live.
Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims. 
Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities 
Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments.
Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.

Who will you be supporting?
Ditton Road is a supported living home for 5 adults with complex needs including physical disabilities, alternative communication needs and visual impairment. We are looking for caring, compassionate people to join our team and really make a difference to the people we support and their lives.
At Ditton Road, no day is ever the same! On a day-to-day basis the job typically includes supporting with personal care, helping with meal preparation, and peg feeding. You will also complete household chores, administering medication, managing finances, accessing community facilities, going shopping, attending medical appointments, or providing general emotional support. The people we support are also involved in regular activities in the community. These can include swimming, going to concerts and going on holidays, the opportunities are endless!!
We recognise that although this job is rewarding, it can also be challenging! You will need a positive attitude, compassion and resilience are all important qualities within our team. Ditton Road have their own welcoming, encouraging, and experienced team. They will assist you in your journey and help and mentor you, whilst supporting your professional development.

Being a driver is essential as the people we support own their own vehicles. You will also need to have a manual license and be prepared to drive a work vehicle.
