We have registered an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Fundraising Lead  to join our client’s impactful charity. With a focus on driving new partnerships as well as maintaining great relationships with existing donors, this is the perfect role for someone who has excellent stakeholder engagement skills as well as the ability to proactively source new business opportunities.

Fundraising Lead Responsibilities

A newly created role, The Fundraising Lead will report into the charity’s CEO and offers the opportunity to work across departments within this small, friendly and collaborative charity. Some of your duties will involve but are not limited to:

Managing and growing relationships with corporate partners, funders and supporters
Winning new sources of income, especially with businesses and key charitable donors within Oxfordshire
Identifying and submitting applications to Trusts and Foundations to secure grant funding
Providing support to the CEO with the development of larger funding bids, assisting relationship management and impact reporting
Enhancing the charity’s profile amongst relevant networks with the help of the Marketing Team.

Fundraising Lead Experience

This is the ideal role for targeted and personable individual that can think outside of the box and act on initiative, as well as exercise long term plans for the future. You will have demonstrable experience of stakeholder or customer engagement and be able to spot opportunities or leads to secure all important partnerships as well as maintain existing partnerships that are in place. You are comfortable with a target-driven, client-facing role and are comfortable with networking and building a strong sense of identity for the charity and the amazing work that they do through business development activities and opportunities. Due to the CEO’s high volume of work, you are able to work autonomously and hit the ground running where required, yet collaborate with necessary employees such as the Marketing team and trustees to achieve great results.

You will be educated to A-level standard or have other relevant qualifications, as well as being proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and social media applications and websites.

Whilst an understanding of fundraising within the charity sector is not essential for this role, a willingness to learn and demonstrable experience within a sales or business development role is a requirement. You will also have an altruistic nature and have a genuine passion for charitable work and causes.

 Location

OX4, Oxford - Please note, there is parking on site.

This is a full time, permanent position role working Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours, where core working hours will need to be taken between 8:00am – 5:30pm. There is a possibility that this role could take on as a part-time role i.e. 4 days per week or fewer hours spread out over the course of the working week.

You will be situated in the quaint and quirky office on site, and will also be required to be in the field some days during the week to establish, build and maintain partnerships. Fridays are work from home days as most of the office are out of office on this day.

They wish to start the successful person in role from September but if you can start sooner that is great! There will be a two stage, interview process which is likely to involve:

An initial Teams chat
A formal panel interview with a presentation task.
There will be a 6 month probationary period. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure of criminal background check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) before their start date.
