Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for Management Accountant for a leading organisation based in Redditch on an 12 months contract.
The Role
The Management Accountant is a pivotal role within the finance function and to the wider business. You will work closely with the Finance Controller to assist in the production of month end management accounts and assist in the preparation of all financial information; supplied on an accurate and timely basis.
This role will ideally suit someone with month end experience, speak to non-finance and someone who is keen to develop with an exciting and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
To produce the monthly management accounts for certain companies within Group of companies, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements, for review within set timescales, including reconciliation of all control accounts.
Analyse financial performance against budget and/or forecast, working closely with department heads.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance and trends.
To assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts ensuring that these are complete in accordance with best auditing practice.
To support the Group Financial Controller in dealings with the Auditors.
To produce performance reports in a timely manner; including but not limited to, WIP and debtor review, billing and recoveries.
To maintain and generally monitor the time and fees ledger information; specifically in relation to staffing (including but not limited to charge-out rates, chargeable hours information and budgets) and to report on any inconsistencies.
To assist in the production of financial budgets.
To prepare quarterly VAT returns.Candidate Attributes;
- QBE or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE
- 2 year plus assistant management accountants experience
- Keen eye for detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
