Social Worker Children & Families

Balfor recruitment is currently looking for experienced dedicated and passionate, Senior social workers to work as part of the children’s and families team based in central Birmingham.

There are opportunities for social workers available immediately within the Children’s and Families teams.

We are looking for vibrant multiskilled social workers who have experience within Children’s and families who work with a collaborative approach.

Key duties of the role include:

* Holding a caseload of Looked after Children

* Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 20

* Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47

* Undertaking Viability Assessments

* Undertaking Kinship Assessments • Undertaking Risk Assessments

* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young people’s needs.

* Preparing & implementing Care Plans

* Attending court and giving evidence when required

* Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders

Requirements:

* At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services

* Degree in social work or equivalent

* Social Work England Registration

* Enhanced DBS

* Valid UK Driving License with access to a car

* Valid MOT and Insurance for business use
