Swift Temps are currently working with a manufacturing client based in Ilkley who are on the lookout for a Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of production within the manufacturing facility. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and optimise production processes while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
The main responsibilities for this role will be to assist production work to agreed practices using the manufacturing systems. You will provide support and guidance for the shop floor Team Leaders in completing the work in order to plan in a timely and efficient manner and communicate to sales any variation that will affect the customers delivery date.
The package:
* Mon – Thurs – 7.30am to 4.30pm / Fri 7.30am to 12.45pm
* Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
* Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year DOE!

Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production teams to achieve production targets and quality standards.
* Co-ordinate and prioritise job orders in line with the business needs.
* Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely completion of orders.
* Scheduling and intervene as when required to bring deliveries back in line with schedule.
* Continuously improve production processes by identifying opportunities for optimisation and implementing best practices.
* Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment.
* Train, mentor, and motivate production staff to enhance their skills and productivity.
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
* Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock of raw materials and supplies.
* Analyse production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Provide cover for Office Production Team members in their absence.
Requirements:
* Proven experience 3+ Years in a senior supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control methods.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower teams.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficient in production planning and scheduling software.
* Understanding of safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field preferred.
