· Remote working - you can be based anywhere within the UK

· Permanent staff position

· Salary circa £35,000 a year, plus performance bonus

An experienced Technical Bid Writer / Proposal Writer is required to join a niche engineering start-up.

Coming into the company at a critical time during the next expansion phase, you’ll take a key role in securing future projects for the business.

With some complex projects already under their belt, and some long term contracts already secured with major clients, joining this technology-forward engineering company could be the perfect career move for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Working with the directors to identify eligible funding streams available to the business

· Taking responsibility for all aspects of bid writing

· Writing technical bids & proposals for such opportunities

· Assist in prep work for client presentations

· Modify existing pre-written content where relevant

· Sourcing information, developing and managing databases

What You’ll Bring to the Team

· Proven experience in a similar role is essential, preferably from a technical/engineering background

· Degree educated would be good, but not essential

· Exposure to the proposal process for the European Space Agency or Innovate UK

· A professional writing background would also be beneficial

· Strong time management skills

· Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision – this position comes with a lot of autonomy and working on your own initiative

· Strong written English language skills and wide vocabulary

· Adaptable to handle changing requirements and deadlines
