Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Technician, you are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, receiving and verifying material, distributing materials throughout the warehouse, sorting, packaging, and shipping. You will also ensure accurate counts of inventory, rotate stock, properly handle damaged material, and contribute to a safe and clean working environment.
Key Deliverables and Responsibility:
Efficiently receive, inspect, and validate incoming material within established timeframes. Accurately enter receipt information into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Promptly identify and complete reports for all nonconforming materials.
Gather receiving documents
Pack and prepare material for shipment, following established procedures to ensure accurate and secure transportation in accordance with contractual requirements.
Safely store and organize material in their assigned locations and holding areas until processed for shipment.
Select inventoried items for outbound customer order(s), create all necessary shipping documentation to load freight for delivery to customers.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while addressing safety hazards to the Warehouse Operations Manager. Perform Material Handling Equipment (MHE) equipment checks in accordance with equipment standards checklist.
Utilizing inventory management tools, maintain precise inventory by performing daily cycle count and participate in the year-end physical inventory.
Promote and maintain neat, clean, and well-organized work area and warehouse.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civillian experience.
1 year of experience in a distribution warehouse environment including documentation, helpful.  May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience. 
PC proficiency in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to talk and conduct business in a confident, articulate, and professional manner.
Self-driven and proactive in nature. Takes initiative to resolve challenges and complete tasks under minimal supervision.
Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple tasks with different requirements, adhering to deadlines.
Demonstrates strong team building qualities such as assisting team members and collaborating with internal departments of varying levels of expertise, when necessary.
Possess mobility to perform physical work including lift, carry, push and pull materials up to 50 lbs.  Ability to maneuver large, cumbersome equipment. May be working with potential biohazards.  Required to wear personal protective equipment
Ability to obtain forklift and hazmat certification (current certification helpful)
