Job Title: Junior Ocean Pricing Coordinator
Location: Basildon, UK (Office-based)
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch), Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
Salary: £23,000.00 to £25,000.00 per annum (dependent upon experience)

Role Overview: They’re seeking a proactive Junior Ocean Pricing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The role involves providing pricing, quotations, and negotiating rates for ocean freight consignments. You will collaborate with customers, shipping lines, and overseas agents to ensure high levels of customer service and support our company's vision of becoming more competitive and profitable in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Sea Freight Manager in executing departmental duties to support the company's vision.
Understand and implement strategies for business development in Sea Freight products.
Maintain and utilize operational systems accurately for recording customer bookings.
Communicate regularly with the line manager, reporting sales leads and shipment handovers.
Quote new import and export enquiries, keeping records of rates for main markets and carriers.
Create weekly reports on quotes sent, margins, and feedback.
Follow up on quotations and maintain current SOPs for the department.
Foster excellent customer and inter-departmental relationships, providing regular feedback to the line manager.
Ensure accurate recording of all quotations on the system.Skills, Experience, and Competencies: Essential:

Experience in import or export operations.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
