Web Designer – Are you an enthusiastic digital designer eager to make an impact? If so, this could be the role for you!

Spider is supporting a creative digital agency specialising in web design, SEO and PPC advertising. Fast-paced, creative environment with a wide variety of clients, both local and global.

They have an excellent opportunity for a creative Web Designer to join their office based in Newmarket, Suffolk. This role is on-site only (No remote / hybrid). They are open to you working full time (37.5 hours) or part time hours (21 hours) per week. You will be joining a small but motived team with plenty of opportunities for growth, and you will be provided with full training to develop in your role, with allocated time for you to complete required courses and certifications.

About the role:

This Web Designer role is a hands-on role, you'll get to work on a variety of tasks across their diverse client base. Reporting directly to the Founder of the business, you'll have the opportunity to develop your role along with the success of the business. You will be provided with training to help you constantly develop in your role and allocate time for you to complete any required courses and certifications needed to support your overall career development.

Other duties include:

Design and develop visually appealing website mock-ups and wireframes using design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite).
Build and optimise WordPress/Webflow websites, blogs, and SEO content.
Troubleshoot and maintain existing client websites to ensure optimal performance. This will include providing support to clients and assist in content creation for various marketing channels.
Conduct technical SEO updates and configure website analytics using Google Analytics & Search Console.
Collaborate on marketing strategies, campaigns, and research to identify trends and opportunities.
Manage paid ads, including campaign optimization, keyword research, competitor analysis, A/B testing, and copywriting.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in web design and advertising.
Support the marketing team with administrative tasks as needed and advise junior team members.

About You:

You will be highly self-driven, keen learner and ready to make an impact. Essential skills will include experience with WordPress, custom coding, and responsive web design. Experience with SEO, PPC, and other web platforms such as Webflow, Framer, Shopify, etc. would be highly beneficial. Possess a strong appreciation for design, usability, motion, and interaction. Be able to produce digital content, artwork, designing, building websites and web graphics. Organisational skills are essential to meet project deadlines. You must be local to the Newmarket and surrounding areas.
