Following an exciting business merger, this company are looking to recruit a new Food Safety Manager to the business. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this person will work with management and operations teams to deliver a safe place of work as the competent person for Food Safety in the UK.

This is a newly created role within the organisation – giving you the room to help develop and improve Food Safety, and make a noticeable difference within the business.

Carry out internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance to group EHS requirements. 
Engage with staff to promote a positive culture and best practice around Food Safety across the business.
Liaise with external enforcement agencies when required in relation to Food Safety and Health and Safety.
Maintain knowledge of, and provide guidance and advice in line with UK legislation, implementing best practice.
Monitor areas of development and actively create plans for improvements. The successful Food Safety Manager will have:
Food Safety Level 4 qualification
HACCP Level 3 qualification
A positive and engaging approach, with the ability to work with staff at all levels
Experience working in a similar Food Safety role in a retail, food service, or production background
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not essential
